Emily Jashinsky

Emily is a freshmen studying Political Science in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences. She was born and raised in Delafield, Wisconsin.

Emily grew into her conservative politics at a young age after discovering that the ideology worked positively towards Christian ideals and encouraged self-reliance. She is especially interested in helping to dissolve the inaccurate stereotypes liberals have spent years strategically associating with the conservative movement. She believes that charity should be provided by the private sector, not byway of public welfare programs, that the age of political correctness is suffocating our freedom of speech and limiting our ability to exchange ideas effectively, and that conservatism is about ushering the nation into an era of liberty from a sprawling bureaucracy.

In her free time, Emily enjoys listening to classic country music, watching Ann Coulter videos on YouTube, and eating at the Bojangles in Union Station.
